My pal Sandy passed very suddenly after hurting his head accidently when he tripped down 2 small steps and he was on life support for next 3 days. On 3rd day he passed on my eldest son,s 26th birthday, then the following day sandy,s beloved pet dog FLASH went to join him ,so glad your both together now pal and the funny thing was only the week before on valentines day sandy told my son he was going to give him a birthday he wouldnt forget on the 23rd feb and he most certainly did tho not in the way we had hoped for, but it means we shall never forget sandy our friend , he was like part of the furniture in our family ,always there for a cuppa and a good old gossip or a laugh and his eccentric ways , those are the things we miss now, sandy the one who would be there thru thick and thin, how many times he had to pick me up and dust me down again ,lord knows why haha, he was my pal , he was one i told my secrets too, we had our argument and we had our dislikes and we were like children in the school playground at times , one day talking the next day huffs and then we were always getting into bither like silly children with our pranks but god only knows how many times my pal saved my life and helped me thru many dark and sad days, the bad day , the sad days, and most of all the happy days, we sure had lots of laughter thru the pain and lots of music and joking and he loved going to spiritualist church we would go to every week ,we were always told to sit up back of church cos we were like two naughty children. god how I miss those times. A lot has happened since Sandy left us and the void in my life got bigger and bigger as I have lost a many loved ones since.
When it all gets too much for me as happens a lot these days I try and think of the happy times and of when I will see them al lagain. Sandy was unique in his own way and I never fully appreciated just what a friend he was to me and my family. He drove us crazy at times, my kids would despair of him and me at times too but we all loved sandy in our own way. It was a love /hate relationship with me and my pal. We used to talk about what heaven would be like , well sandy now you know pal because you are the lucky one , YOU GOT IN FIRST.when my time comes pal I know what you will say when we meet again, you will say our little saying "WELCOME TO OUR WORLD"come on in. I hear the song all the time and I know your still watching out for me, so many have left pal and Im so alone missing you all, but you know who has gone to the dance and I hope you are all having a ball and I cant wait to join you.
